Lucy and James chose to celebrate their intimate wedding in Salento, in the heart of Puglia, surrounded by olive trees, warm light and the people they love most.

Their wedding took place at Tenuta Negroamaro, a countryside venue that perfectly reflects the relaxed, authentic spirit of southern Italy.

Planned with care and vision by Franz D’Aversa, the day unfolded naturally — full of laughter, movement, connection and spontaneous joy.

This was not a staged wedding, but a deeply human celebration: energetic, emotional, and beautifully imperfect.

As a wedding photographer in Puglia specialising in intimate weddings, my approach is to stay close without interfering, allowing moments to happen freely. Lucy and James’ wedding is a perfect example of how small weddings can hold incredible energy, personality and depth.
