Some stories begin long before the wedding day.

Two years before Francesca and Michael’s wedding, Michael reached out to me to plan a surprise marriage proposal in Polignano a Mare. Back then, neither of us knew that Puglia would one day become the setting for their wedding. Two years later, they chose to celebrate here — and they chose me to tell their story once again.

At Masseria San Giovanni, their intimate destination wedding brought together contemporary elegance and the timeless character of the Apulian countryside. Francesca’s bridal look, featuring Flora, Jimmy Choo and Lele Sadoughi, complemented the refined atmosphere created by wedding planner Sona Wedding and floral designer Maxima Flower.

For me, photographing their wedding meant more than documenting a beautiful day. It meant returning to a story I had been part of from the beginning.

My approach combines a documentary heart with an editorial eye, balancing considered compositions with genuine gestures and fleeting moments. Because, beyond the beauty of a place, it is the people and the stories connecting them that make a photograph truly meaningful.
